Tottenham’s official Twitter account wished Kyle Walker a happy birthday on Sunday – and fans have reacted by urging him to stay at the club.
The 27-year-old recently concluded the Premier League season with Spurs, helping them secure the runners-up spot behind champions Chelsea.
Right-back Walker has been a pivotal part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans in recent seasons but he lost his place in the starting XI to Kieran Trippier towards the back end of this campaign.
Here is the club posting their birthday message to Walker, who is pictured with Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele.

ESPN reported on Friday that Manchester City are hopeful of signing Walker, who is among their top summer targets.
There is a lot of speculation in the media that Walker could be heading for the exit door in the summer and that he has already played his last game for the club.
Walker’s last appearance in a Tottenham shirt came during his side’s 2-1 win against Manchester United in May, with Pochettino bringing him on as a late substitute in what was the final match at White Hart Lane.
Therefore, there is no surprise to see Spurs supporters urging Walker to stay at the club next season where Pochettino’s side will be looking to mount another title challenge.
Overall, the fans sent their best wishes to Walker on his birthday, with a number of them telling the popular defender to “please stay” at the club.
