Kieran Trippier completed 90 minutes in Tottenham’s 7-1 thrashing over Hull – and the club’s supporters feel that he can fill the shoes of Kyle Walker next season.
The defender starred by grabbing two assists in a superb final day win away to Hull, with Harry Kane scoring a hat-trick to ensure the Premier League’s golden boot.
The 26-year-old has become an important player for Spurs this campaign and managed to obtain the number one role at right-back in recent weeks.
He may be called upon to be the first-choice full-back next season as speculation over the future of England international Walker continues to grow.
Manchester City are being continually linked with a move for the 26-year-old and the Mirror have reported that Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy have agreed to sell him if a £40million valuation is met.
Spurs fans believe that Trippier is certainly good enough to be a regular in the starting line-up if they lose his teammate Walker.

Trippier struggled to force his way into the line-up following his arrival from Burnley and has had to be patient under Pochettino.
However, his persistence has paid off and he is now showing his attacking qualities in the full-back role.
Trippier and Ben Davies have had to make do with understudy roles for Spurs recently, but have certainly provided tough competition for senior members Walker and Danny Rose.
