Danny Rose believes that the full-backs at Tottenham are just important as the dynamic duo of Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Mauricio Pochettino’s tactics are known for getting the best out of his attacking full-backs and Rose thinks that will start to rub off on other clubs in the near future as they look to emulate the Argentine’s success.

The 26-year-old, along with Spurs stars Kyle Walker, Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier, have all played vital roles in helping the club achieve a second place finish in the Premier League this season, especially when Pochettino has opted for a formation which uses a back three.

And Rose thinks that this could see other clubs splashing big fees on full-backs in the near future.

“Me, Kyle, Kieran and Ben, we’ve all grown so well over the last three of four years,” said the 12-times England international on radio station BBC 5 Live Sport on Friday [19:15].

“I’d like to think we’re just as important as Harry or Dele, who score most goals in our team.

“The next two or three transfer windows are going to be the ones where full backs go for big money.”

Unfortunately, Rose’s season was largely hampered by a knee injury which he picked up while playing against his former club Sunderland in January.

That meant he only made 21 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions, but still managed to net two goals and supply four assists.

Spurs went on to crash out of the Europa League and FA Cup without Rose as Welsh international Davies stepped in for the remainder of the campaign.

The Sun have previously reported that Rose, along with Eric Dier and Walker, is looking to leave Spurs in the summer in a bid to win silverware.
