Liverpool have fielded multiple offers for Alberto Moreno as the possibility grows that he has played his last match for the club, according to the Telegraph.

The newspaper claim both Milan clubs and Spanish big hitters Atletico Madrid are leading the race to land the left-back after a season spent on the Anfield fringes.

The report comes after Liverpool Echo correspondent James Pearce claimed on his personal Twitter account that Moreno was introduced “for his Anfield farewell” when he replaced James Milner in the closing minutes of the team’s 3-0 win against Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Moreno was given a rare run-out after the Merseysiders had virtually achieved their objective of the win they needed to secure a top-four league finish and a place in August’s final Champions League qualification stage.

Manager Jurgen Klopp decided to send on substitutes Lucas Leiva and Moreno, both of whom have been strongly linked with summer exits from the club.

The Spaniard, 24, has been named in the matchday squad for all 38 of Liverpool’s league matches this season but he has started just two of them after losing his regular left-back slot to Milner, who is a midfielder by trade.

The Telegraph name Moreno as one of 30 players who won’t play for their club again as the transfer season gets into full swing.

It has been widely speculated that the Merseysiders will offload the erratic Milner this summer even though he has two years remaining on his contract and are to buy at least one, and perhaps even two, specialist left-backs.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with signing Hull City’s Andrew Robertson and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.
