Leeds unlikely to pursue Sacko move

Leeds are unlikely to pursue a permanent move for Hadi Sacko, according to a report.

Portuguese outlet Record claim that the Whites are unlikely to trigger a permanent deal for Sporting Lisbon’s 23-year-old attacker, who has been on a season-long loan at Elland Road.

The report details that there have been numerous offers tabled for the Frenchman and that it’s not yet clear where he will be playing his football next season.

Sacko completed a move to Leeds at the beginning of the season in search of regular first team action and experienced his first taste of English football in the process.

The pacy winger made 42 appearances across all competitions for the Whites, scoring two goals and supplying four assists.

Garry Monk failed to really settle on his wide areas and Sacko was unable to land a permanent starting role.

Leeds finished the campaign seventh-placed and just missed out on the play-off positions, with several people feeling they needed more goals from midfield.

Sacko did excite the Leeds faithful with his superb dribbling in possession, but was unable to find the end finish in the crucial moments.

He fell down the pecking order at the back-end of the season and his last full 90 minutes in the Championship were completed back in February at home to Bristol City.
