Leeds are expected to make a move for top-flight pair Kyle Bartley and Hadi Sacko in the summer, according to a reliable journalist.

The Whites confirmed on Wednesday morning that both players were returning to their respective clubs following loan spells at Elland Road.

Defender Bartley was an ever-present in Garry Monk’s side and will make the move back to Premier League club Swansea, who narrowly avoided relegation this season.

Meanwhile, winger Sacko will return to Portuguese top-flight club Sporting Lisbon after spending a season in the Championship.

However, Yorkshire Evening correspondent Phil Hay has reported on his personal Twitter account that he expects Leeds to “pursue” moves for the loan stars in the summer.

Bartley was a huge success during his loan spell with Leeds and even captained the side on several occasions.

The 25-year-old formed a great partnership alongside teammate Pontus Jansson at centre-back and fans will be hoping they can line-up again together next season.

Sacko also enjoyed a season-long loan spell at Elland Road and he got his first taste of English football in the process.

The 23-year-old made 42 appearances across all competitions and was a regular feature in Monk’s side.

The pacy winger chipped in with two goals and supplied four assists, but Leeds struggled in the wide areas all season as the manager constantly chopped his starting XI.

He did show some real signs of his potential with some great trickery and it appears he has done enough to convince the Whites to try secure another deal for him.
