Rangers defender Clint Hill will leave Ibrox at the end of the season, according to a report.

Sky Sports claim that the veteran centre-back will not be offered a new contract in the summer and will be forced to find a new club.

The report details that the 38-year-old was hoping to extend his one-year stay with the Gers and expected to hear about a new deal this week.

However, he looks set to be let go by manager Pedro Caixinha as he undergoes a summer clear out at Ibrox.

Hill has been a mainstay in the Rangers starting line-up this season despite being at the latter stages of his career.

The experienced defender has been one of the positive notes this campaign and settled following quickly in Scotland following his arrival on a free transfer last summer from QPR.

He has made 30 appearances so far this season across all competitions and been a regular in the defence.

Hill has proved to be quite the attacking threat for the Gers and managed to chip in with an impressive tally of six goals.

His most memorable goal was a last-minute equaliser away to Old Firm rivals Celtic during a 1-1 draw in March.

He has proven himself at a number of clubs during his long career and appears to still have gas left in the tank at the back-end of it.

Caixinha has already showed intent to bring through youngsters at Rangers, with the likes of David Bates, Myles Beerman and Jamie Barjonas all getting first team experiences since his mid-season arrival.
