West Ham have added Lucas Perez to their summer shopping list.
According to a report in The Sun the Arsenal striker is on Slaven Bilic’s wanted list as the West Ham boss prepares for a summer of change.
Perez has looked a forlorn figure at Arsenal following his £18m transfer from Real Sociedad with chances limited to cup appearances and has at times dropped to fourth choice striker behind Alexis Sanchez, Danny Wellbeck and Olivier Giroud.
The 28-year-old did score a hat-trick away to Basel in the Champions League but that didn’t improve his prospects of regular first team football despite the uncertainty over the future of Sanchez.
Bilic is looking to alter West Ham’s style of play with the emphasis on keeping the ball on the deck with Perez perfect for that type of role.
AC Milan were keen on Perez when he was at Real Sociedad and are expected to make an end of season move for the Arsenal misfit.
