Everton are setting up an end of season move for Kieran Trippier.

According to a report in The Sun the Spurs defender has been identified as the ideal replacement for Seamus Coleman.

The Irish internationalist is looking at at least one year out of action following his horror injury in World Cup action against Wales.

Everton have made a high quality replacement a priority with all reports pointing towards Trippier as that player.

Tripper is in his second season at Spurs but has found Kyle Walker impossible to replace and is open to a move after just seven Premier League starts.

Everton are prepared to pay £12m to sign the former Burnley defender and can offer him almost a season of first team football.

Spurs are in no rush to sell the 26-year-old but if they can get close to a £10m profit on the £3.5m that they paid for the defender a deal could be completed.
