Manchester City are ready to push through a bid for Kyle Walker.

According to a report in The Sun, City are considering a £50m bid for the Spurs defender who is believed to be unhappy with the new deal that he signed in September.

The Sun claims that Walker is only being paid £60,000/week with City easily able to at least double that deal if they can agree a deal with Spurs.

Guardiola is planning massive surgery on his defence with Walker his first choice to come in at right-back.

At 26 years of age with extensive experience of the Premier League Walker would fit straight in to City’s plans where a big emphasis is placed on full-back’s being able to take the ball out of defence to open up attacks.

Daniel Levy is one of the toughest negotiators in football but if the price is right Spurs have demonstrated in the past that they are prepared to do business.
