Everton are lining up a bid for Willian Jose.

According to a report in the Daily Mail talks have opened to bring the Real Sociedad striker to Goodison Park in the close season.

Jose is in his first season with Sociedad and has scored 10 times in 23 La Liga appearances.

The 25-year-old Brazilian has a £33m buy out clause in his contract but Everton are hoping to negotiate a deal for under £30m.

With Romelu Lukaku looking like moving on in the summer Ronald Koeman is looking to bring in fresh striking options to replace the Belgian.

The sale of Lukaku is expected to bring in £60m which will be added to the fighting fund that has already been set aside for Everton’s summer spending plans.

Jose has been watched by Newcastle and West Ham with Everton determined to do business early after struggling to bring in transfer targets in the last two transfer windows.
