Everton demand £100m for Lukaku

|

Everton have put a £100m price tag on Romelu Lukaku.

According to a report in the Liverpool Echo the striker’s value has soared by £30m on the back of a season that has so far delivered 24 goals.

Chelsea and Manchester United have been strongly linked to Lukaku but are unlikely to be rushing in to meet that valuation.

The price reflects the fact that there is still two years to run on the 23-year-old’s contract with a stalemate reached in talks for a new deal.

This summer it is expected that a number of strikers will be on the move with Alexis Sanchez, Sergio Aguero and Diego Costa all involved in stand off’s with their clubs.

Manchester United are still in the dark about whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic will stay on at Old Trafford with Real Madrid likely to be signing a blue chip striker.

Lukaku is bound to be discussed in those moves but Everton will have to decide whether to hold out for the price they want or whether to cash in and kill off the speculation surrounding their leading scorer.
