West Ham are preparing an end of season move for Bacary Sagna.

According to a report in The Sun the defender is keen on the idea of moving back to London after three seasons with Manchester City.

The Frenchman will be out of contract in the summer with City still to offer a new contract.

Sagna has been a regular in Pep Guardiola’s side this season but won’t be offered a new contract as the former Barcelona and Bayern boss looks to reshape his side.

West Ham would happily meet the 34-year-old’s current wages of £60,000 a week with just the length of contract to be agreed.

A two year deal with a 12 month option should Sagna meet an appearance target should be enough to see the deal through.

Slaven Bilic’s future was in question earlier this season but with West Ham challenging for a place in the top half of the table he is planning ahead as the club settles down to life at the London Stadium.
