Spurs are ready to ditch Moussa Sissoko.

According to a report in The Sun, picking up on details from L’Equipe, Spurs will cut their losses and take £20m for the Frenchman.

Sissoko was signed from Newcastle on the final day of the summer 2016 transfer window with Everton also pushing for a deal.

After an impressive campaign at Euro 16 the £30m spent seemed to be a smart piece of business but the 27-year-old has only started six Premier League matches this season.

It seemed apparent early on that Sissoko didn’t fit in to the style of play that Mauricio Pochettino was looking for.

With a lucrative contract running through to 2021 Spurs may have to settle for a season long loan deal with club’s unwilling to match the players contract and pay a transfer fee.

Rather than hope for an upturn next season Spurs are looking to move Sissoko on with Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha a possible replacement.
