The future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in doubt with mystery surrounding an automatic extension to his 12 month Manchester United contract.
According to a report on Sky Sports a 12 month extension has still to be completed despite the striker matching the target to ‘automatically.
The striker admitted: “The option is already fulfilled,but there’s nothing done yet.”
United were delighted to lure the Swedish striker from Paris St Germain after four seasons in the French capital.
At the age of 34 United were unsure about committing to a two year contract but offered a 12 month deal that would be automatically renewed once certain conditions were met.
In terms of fitness, performances and goals Jose Mourinho has had no complaints about the much travelled striker who has won league titles in Holland, Spain, Italy and France.
With 20 goals scored in 34 appearances it seems that those targets have been achieved but it seems that but the club has still to confirm that Ibrahimovic will be at Old Trafford next season.
