Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City are fighting it out for the signing of Monaco defender Fabinho- according to the player’s dad!

Fabinho Snr appeared on French TV to reveal the details which won’t go down well with either club.

According to the report in The Sun the defender, who is rated in the £20m range, has a soft spot for City and would jump at the chance to work with Pep Guardiola.

The Monaco production line is one of the most prolific in the game with scouts flocking to the principality to catch the latest emerging talents.

Fabinho is in his fourth season with Monaco after joining the club in 2013 after a brief spell with Real Madrid who lured him from his native Brazil.

City and United are both keen to bolster their defence with the relative experience of 23-year-old and his price tag appealing to Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho.

Arsene Wenger has extensive links to his old club and would love to bring Fabinho to the Emirates to tighten up his side’s defence.
