More woe for Hammers

|

West Ham’s embarrassing transfer window has continued with a £3m bid for Robert Snodgrass rejected.

According to a report in the Daily Mail the bid for the Scotland internationalist was instantly rejected by the Hull board.

Hull recently imposed a 12 month extension onto Snodgrass’ contract but that was viewed mainly as a move to increase his transfer value.

The rejection of the offer for Snodgrass comes soon after a similar reaction from Sunderland for Jermain Defoe.

A bid in the region of £7m was made for Sunderland’s leading scorer with David Moyes adamant that Defoe won’t be sold this month.

For good measure Karen Brady has admitted that ‘The Insider’ column on the club website will be axed after giving away too much detail about an offer for Celtic’s Moussa Dembele.

Completing the picture of misery West Ham were dumped out of the FA Cup with Manchester City winning 5-0 at the London Stadium.
