Chelsea alerted to availability of Inter striker

Chelsea have been alerted to the potential availability of Inter Milan striker Marcello Brozovic.

According to TalkSPORT Inter are looking to sell the Croatian striker in order to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.

Those rules limit the losses that a club can run up with Inter looking like falling £25m short of their target. If they fail to comply UEFA can bar the club from playing in their competitions.

Brozovic recently signed a contract that keeps him at Inter until 2021 but a report in the respected Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper claims that the contract was simply to retain the value of the player with Inter keen to sell when the transfer window opens.

Antonio Conte is well aware of the Croatian striker who joined Inter from Dinamo Zagreb last January.

Bringing in a new striker to provide back up to Diego Costa is Conte’s priority during the transfer window as he attempts to build on Chelsea’s impressive start to the season.
