Roma keeping tabs on Cesc Fabregas

Roma are keeping a close eye on Cesc Fabregas’ situation at Chelsea.

According to a report on TalkSPORT the Italian giants are thinking over making a bid for the out of favour midfielder.

Fabregas has only started two Premier League matches this season and is a firm third choice behind Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kane for two midfield places.

Chelsea paid Barcelona £30m to sign Fabregas in 2014 but despite high hopes the midfielder hasn’t been able to recapture the form that he showed in his Arsenal days.

At the time his £200,000/week deal was one of the highest in the game and is still way above the reach of almost all clubs.

Chelsea are in no rush to sell Fabregas but wouldn’t hold on to an unhappy player if there was a decent offer on the table.

Roma wouldn’t be able to pay a £30m transfer fee and the players personal terms but would be able to put together a loan package.
