Recent rumours suggest that European giants Barcelona are keeping a close eye on Saints full back Cedric Soares who Luis Enrique is reportedly lining up as an alternative to Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin.
It is extremely unlikely that Arsene Wenger will part with his Spanish international in January and as a result, Barcelona have been forced to source plan B options.
Euro 2016 winner Cedric has been a steady performer at St. Mary’s Stadium since arriving from Sporting Lisbon last year and if Barca were to come calling, keeping the Portuguese could prove a tough ask.
If Cedric were to complete a move to La Liga, a decent alternative could be Tottenham’s Kieran Trippier who was linked with Saints over the summer.
Firmly behing Kyle Walker in the pecking order at right back right now, surely the former Burnley man would be interested in increased game time on the south coast?
