Arsenal will have to come up with £200,000 a week deals for Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil or sell the players next summer.
According to a report in The Sun the star duo are holding out for those bumper deals in order to extend their stay in North London.
With 18 months left on their current contracts the Gunners need to come up with new packages before the end of this season or run the risk of the players running down the final year of their deals and leave for free in 2018.
Yesterday Arsenal announced a new six year contract for Hector Bellerin but it’s the futures of Sanchez and Ozil that is concerning supporters.
Arsenal broke their pay structure to recruit the duo from Real Madrid and Barcelona and now face similar decisions over renewals.
As well as the cash element of new contracts it’s understood that both players are also concerned about the club’s failure to challenge for major trophies with just two FA Cup’s won since the switch to The Emirates Stadium.
