Recent talk has suggested Juventus could offer Leonardo Bonucci a new deal to ward off Chelsea’s interest but the Blues are now lining up a mega deal for Sergio Ramos instead, report talkSPORT.

According to Spanish source AS, it is Spanish international Ramos who Antonio Conte has now turned his attentions to with the 30-year-old having won all there is to win at the Bernabeu.

Utilising a 3-4-3 formation in the Blues’ most recent fixture at Hull City, the Italian boss is still keen to recruit a top class centre back for his system despite moving to sign David Luiz from Paris Saint-Germain on Deadline Day.

The Los Blancos defender reportedly came close to signing for Manchester United back in 2015 but Madrid ended up rejecting the Red Devils’ bid of around £30 million.

With Real Madrid having rejected that fee a year ago, it remains to be seen what Ramos’ asking price is a year later but having been at the Bernabeu since 2005, it would surely take a mammoth deal to get Zinedine Zidane’s side talking.

talkSPORT’s report also claims that Manchester United may yet bid for the Spanish international with Jose Mourinho still trying out both Chris Smalling and Daley Blind as Eric Bailly’s defensive partner right now.
