He recently made his senior international debut for Italy against France earlier this month and now, Arsenal are interested in signing Torino forward Andrea Belotti, report The Sun.

Rated at around £12.5 million, Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the 22-year-old striker who was actually on Arsene Wenger’s radar in the summer before he opted to sign Lucas Perez instead.

Boasting both Perez and Olivier Giroud in the striking department with Danny Welbeck still injured of course, the critics still wonder whether Arsenal have enough genuine firepower to plot a realistic assault on the Premier League title.

Belotti has started the new Serie A campaign in fantastic fashion, bagging four goals for Torino in just two games so far this term, only serving to underline his status as a top up-and-coming talent in Europe.

Bagging a hat-trick in Torino’s opening Serie A encounter whereby they defeated Bologna 5-1, Belotti is still believed to be in Arsene Wenger’s thinking in the lead up to the January transfer window.

With Olivier Giroud hitting 30 this month and Danny Welbeck’s entire Arsenal spell having been blighted by injuries, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will look to boost their options by formalising a bid for the Italian hitman.
