Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

According to Football Insider, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have all asked to be ‘kept informed’ of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s situation at Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.

Despite boasting 100 Premier League appearances for the Gunners and 24 caps for the England national team, the stocky winger hasn’t progressed as expected since moving to the Emirates in summer 2011, struggling to hold down a consistent role in Arsenal’s starting Xi.

His performances have come under particular criticism this season and some reports have claimed Arsene Wenger will look to offload the Three Lions ace during the summer transfer window, leading to reported interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Everton and West Ham to name a few.

Football Insider dispute those claims, alleging the north London outfit want to agree a new contract with the 22-year-old. Nonetheless, they report that the club and Oxlade-Chamberlain’s salary valuations differ greatly, which could still result in a summer departure.

It is further claimed that the Reds are the latest club to have asked to be ‘kept informed’ of Oxlade-Chamberlain’s situation ahead of the summer transfer window, along with the Blues, the Citizens and Manchester United. Arsenal reportedly rate the winger at around £30million.
