According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool are set to hold talks with Udinese next week over the potential transfer of Piotr Zielinski; whilst The Daily Star claim Juan Mata is pushing for a new contract at Manchester United.
The Poland midfielder has impressed on loan at Empoli this season, grabbing three goals and four assists in 27 Serie A appearances whilst averaging 1.6 created chances and 2.7 successful dribbles per match. Liverpool were considering a bid during the January transfer window, but a summer move always seemed more likely.

And according to The Daily Mail, the issue of a summer transfer will be discussed by the Reds and the 21-year-old’s parent club by the end of next week. Famed for his skill, versatility and energy, Zielinski is seen as a signing who would immediately fit Jurgen Klopp’s philosophy.
Meanwhile, The Daily Star claim Juan Mata is desperate to agree a new contract at Manchester United during the summer transfer window, despite Atletico Madrid, Valencia and a host of Chinese Super League clubs reportedly targeting the Spanish playmaker.
The 27-year-old’s deal expires in 2018 and many have tipped the Old Trafford outfit to sell this summer – especially if they appoint Jose Mourinho, who cashed in on Mata just months after claiming a second Player of the Season award at Stamford Bridge.
But according to The Star, Mata is firmly focused on signing a new contract with the 13-time Premier League champions. He currently takes home around £130k per week.
