According to reports from The Telegraph, Chelsea will demand a fee in excess of £10million if they decide to sell Liverpool, Watford and West Ham target Nathan Ake during the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old defender has thoroughly impressed on loan at Vicarage Road this season, averaging an impressive 3.5 tackles, 3.2 interceptions and 1.7 successful aerial duels per match to help Watford claim the best goals conceded record in the Premier League’s bottom half.

But the Netherlands international’s future at his parent club remains undetermined with Antonio Conte set to replace interim manager Guus Hiddink ahead of the summer transfer window.

He’s keen to be involved in first-team affairs next season but another loan move could be on the cards, potentially replacing Andreas Christensen at Borussia Monchengladbach, whilst Conte could decide Ake isn’t part of his long-term plans for the west Londoners.

Should the latter scenario unfold, The Telegraph claim Chelsea will demand £10million for the versatile defender – a significant increase on the £3million transfer fee suggested by Mirror Football earlier this week. Watford

Watford are very interested in a permanent transfer for their prodigious loan star but they look set to face competition from Liverpool and West Ham – who can meet the Blues’ £10million valuation far more comfortably than the Hornets.
