According to reports from The Express, Arsenal have re-joined Manchester United in the race to sign Atletico Madrid contract rebel Saul Niguez.
The 21-year-old is rated as one of the most exciting prospects in La Liga and is famed for his versatility, having featured as a centre-back, a wide midfielder, a central midfielder and a No.10 during his 21 league outings for Atletico Madrid this season.

Manchester United were linked with a summer swoop for the Spain U21 earlier this week, having allegedly targeted him during the January transfer window, following news that he’s rejected a contract extension at Vincente Calderon.
But Arsenal reportedly came close to signing the 5 foot 11 starlet during the January transfer window as well and according to The Express – who cite reports from AS – they’re still very much a fixture in the race for his signature.
With Atletico seemingly reluctant to sell, however, signing Niguez this summer will likely require activating his £25million release clause.
