According to reports from The Sun, Leicester City are ready to offer goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel a new contract to fend off interest from Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Danish international has been an integral figure in the Foxes’ shock title bid this season, starting all 25 of their Premier League fixtures to register 56 saves and eight clean sheets – ranking seventh and eighth through the division respectively.

Liverpool and Manchester United were both linked with the 29-year-old last month, whilst The Sun moot Tottenham Hotspur as potential suitors as well.
But according to the British tabloid, Leicester City are hoping to fend off interest from their Premier League rivals by issuing the son of goalkeeping great Peter Schmeichel an improved contract. His current deal expires in 2018.
The Midlands outfit are also ready to offer right-back Danny Simpson, who has averaged two tackles and 2.9 interceptions per match this term, a new contract with justĀ 18 months left to run on his current terms.
