According to reports from Mirror Football, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham are ‘locked’ in a £25million tussle over the services of Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.

The Belgium international simply hasn’t looked back since making his debut for Standard Liege in 2011. He bagged 39 goals in 97 league appearances for the Pro League outfit, paving the way for a big-money move to Stade Velodrome in summer 2014, and has gone on to net 21 times in 50 Ligue 1 outings for Marseille – including twelve strikes (and seven assists) this season.

The 5 foot 11 forward attracted Premier League interest last summer and was reportedly the subject of a £21million Stoke City bid last month – despite signing a contract extension until 2020 with Marseille at the start of the January transfer window.

Mirror Football claim Premier League clubs will target Batshuayi again at the end of the season, with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham fronting the queue for his signature. Newcastle United are also interested, but the £25million-rated striker is said to prefer a move to London over the North East.
