According to Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham’s official club websites, youngsters Nathan Oduwa and Leo Chambers have joined League One side Colchester United on loan.

19-year-old Oduwa has represented England 13 times at youth level and began the season on loan at Rangers, but had his deal terminated in January as the Scottish side acquired a permanent addition in Michael O’Halloran.

He was linked with a loan move to Essex earlier this week and according to Spurs’ official website, it has now been completed. But desperate to lift themselves off the bottom of the League One table, the U’s recruitment drive has also seen them snap up West Ham prospect Leo Chambers.

The 20-year-old defender has registered three senior outings for the Hammers, all of which came during the 2013/14 edition of the Capital One Cup, and has forged an impressive centre-back partnership with Reece Oxford for the club’s Development squad this season.

Both have joined Colchester United on one-month deals.
