According to reports from The Express, Manchester United target Aymeric Laporte has agreed a transfer to local rivals Manchester City.
The 21-year-old is widely regarded as one of the most exciting defenders in world football, having already registered over 100 La Liga appearances and been a mainstay in the Athletic Bilbao starting Xi since the start of the 2013/14 campaign.

This season, he’s averaged an impressive 1.7 tackles, 2.5 interceptions, 3.6 clearances and 2.2 aerial duels per match, helping the Basque outfit to a respectable eighth place in the La Liga table.
Europe’s top clubs have inevitably been drawn to Laporte’s services and earlier this month, it was revealed that Manchester United were holding talks with the France U21 regarding a potential summer transfer.
But according to The Express – who cite Spanish publication Sport – the 6 foot 2 centre-half is now set to become Pep Guardiola’s first signing as Manchester City manager with a summer move to the Etihad seemingly agreed.
Knowing Bilbao’s reluctance to sell, the deal will likely be worth Laporte’s release clause – a pricey £39million.
