According to reports from The Independent, Arsenal are ready to listen to offers for struggling midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Despite often demonstrating his prodigious ability, the England international is now into his fifth season at the Emirates and is yet to forge a regular slot in the Gunners’ starting Xi. According to The Independent, the Arsenal boss is now ready to listen to offers for the 22-year-old, assured that he can recover the club’s original investment by putting Oxlade-Chamberlain on the market at a valuation of £15million during the summer transfer window.
In terms of potential buyers, the British newspaper document interest from Chelsea at the start of the season. They were linked with a transfer bid again last month for the coming window, whilst recent reports have claimed West Ham are considering an audacious £15million swoop for the struggling Arsenal ace.
Arsenal’s valuation is well within the financial reach of their London rivals, but they’ll be reluctant to open talks with two clubs who could both contest them for a Champions League spot next season.
