According to The Daily Mail, the’ve resultantly been offered the 24-year-old right-back, who began his career at Manchester City but failed to register a single appearance before moving to Eintracht Braunschweig in January 2013, as a last-minute solution. Olympiacos want an initial £2.5million loan fee for the Norway international, with a further £7.5million payment for a permanent transfer should he play a set amount of games.

Meanwhile, The Sun report that Southampton are looking to sign Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on loan before the transfer window slams shut.

The England international began his career at St. Mary’s, making his debut as a 16-year-old before a £12million move to north London in 2011, and has struggled to hold down a consistent role in the Gunners’ starting Xi this season. He’s started just seven Premier League fixtures out of a possible 23 and has found himself moved between both wings and central midfield.

The Saints want to re-sign the 22-year-old for the remainder of the season, which should boost his chances of making it into Roy Hodgson’s England squad at next summer’s European Championship.
