According to reports from The Daily Mail, Manchester United are plotting a shock last-minute swoop for Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy.
Having seen just 144 minutes’ worth of action in the Premier League this season, the France international is desperate to source more regular game time ahead of next summer’s European Championships on his home soil and is resultantly looking to go out on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

That has seen him linked with relegation battlers Aston Villa and Sunderland in recent weeks, whilst Ligue 1 outfit Bordeaux have also made an approach to sign the right-back temporarily.
But according to The Daily Mail, Manchester United are now eyeing a late swoop for the 30-year-old amid an injury crisis in their full-back positions, with Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian, Antonio Valencia and Marcos Rojo all currently sidelined.
Debuchy has played at No.2 and No.3 throughout his career as well as in midfield and centre-back, but it remains to be seen if Arsene Wenger will let the former Lille star join a divisional rival.
