Hector Bellerin

According to Calcio Mercato, Tottenham Hotspur face Real Madrid and Juventus in the race to sign Anderlecht midfielder Youri Tielemans; whilst The Independent report that Barcelona are interested in re-signing Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin.

The Belgium U21 is widely viewed as the most promising talent in the Jupiler League, having twice claimed the division’s Young Player of the Year award since making his first-team debut as a 16-year-old. Interest from Tottenham Hotspur has been documented for some time – in fact, the Lilywhites were reportedly considering a swoop during the January transfer window.

But according to Calcio Mercato, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Juventus are also keen on the prodigious midfielder – with the latter club even making him their ‘no.1 summer objective’. The Belgian outfit reportedly rate the 18-year-old at a pricey £24million.

Meanwhile, The Independent – who cite Spanish publication Sport – claim Barcelona are interested in re-signing Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin, who moved to north London from the Catalan outfit’s prestigious La Masia academy back in summer 2011.

The Spaniard has flourished since becoming the Gunners’ first-choice No.2 last season and particularly impressed upon facing his former club in the Champions League on Tuesday night. After the game, Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique are alleged to have congratulated the 20-year-old on his performance and enquired into his ‘personal situation’.

A number of Arsenal stars have traded the Nou Camp for the Emirates in recent years, not least including Cesc Fabregas, Thierry Henry, Aleksandar Hleb, Alex Song and Thomas Vermaelen.
