According to reports from The Sun, Manchester United are making an ‘astonishing’ raid on Chelsea for highly-rated youngster Domingos Quina.

The British tabloid describe the 16-year-old has ‘one of Europe’s hottest properties’ and claim he’s been tipped to reach the very top of world football since moving to Stamford Bridge from Benfica three years ago.

Manchester United are planning to drastically revamp their academy, recruiting in terms of both coaching and playing staff.

They launched a failed approach for Tottenham Hotspur’s Head of Coaching and Player Development John McDermott earlier this month and signed Italian prodigy Luca Ercolani, whilst also targeting Southampton youngster Jake Hesketh.

According to The Sun, a move for Quina is seen as the next step in bring United’s academy in line with the quality on show at Manchester City’s. Although Chelsea are reluctant to let the prodigious midfielder leave, he reportedly feels he’ll be given first-team opportunities much sooner at Old Trafford.
