Pep Guardiola

According to reports from BBC Sport, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United management target Pep Guardiola has revealed he is leaving Bayern Munich to work in the Premier League.

The Spaniard is widely regarded as one of the greatest managers of the modern era, having claimed two Champions League titles during his four years at Barcelona before lifting back-to-back Bundesliga titles with the Bavarians.

The 44-year-old recently announced he would not be extending his Allianz Arena contract past the end of the season, following rumours of a three-way scramble for his services between Premier League trio Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Adding further fuel to speculation, Guardiola has now confirmed he’s stepping down as Bayern boss to work in the Premier League and that he’s already received offers from several English clubs – but is yet to accept any of them.

As quoted by BBC Sport, he told reporters this afternoon; “I want to experience a new city and I want to work in England. I have several offers from England but I haven’t signed anything yet. I have an opportunity to work in England. I’m at the right age and I feel it is the right move for me. That is the reason I have taken this decision.”

Former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is set to take his place at Bayern Munich ahead of next season.
