According to The Metro, Jiangsu Suning are targeting Chelsea loan flop Radamel Falcao; whilst BBC Sport report that former Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has retired from football.

The Chinese Super League outfit signed Blues midfielder Ramires in a £25million deal earlier this week and according to The Metro, they now have their sights set on struggling striker Radamel Falcao.

The Colombian international has scored just one goal since signing from Monaco during the summer and hasn’t registered an appearance in any competition since October amid a lengthy injury layoff.

The west London club are keen to get the former Atletico Madrid frontman off their books but he doesn’t want to return to his parent club, so a move to China could suit all parties.

Meanwhile, BBC Sport report that former Manchester United skipper Nemanja Vidic has announced his retirement from the beautiful game.

The Serbian defender claimed five Premier League titles and the 2008 Champions League title during his eight-and-a-half years at Old Trafford, captaining the Red Devils from 2010 until his move to Inter Milan in summer 2014.

The 34-year-old made 28 outings for Nerazzurri last season but agreed to a contract termination earlier this month after failing to feature in any competition since Roberto Mancini’s appointment last summer.

Moves to the MLS and Aston Villa were mooted in the tabloids but as reported by BBC Sport, Vidic has decided to call a day on his largely successful career.

He told Manchester United’s official website; “The time has come for me to hang up my boots. The injuries I have had in the last few years have taken their toll. I would like to thank all the players I have played with, all the managers and staff I have worked with, and say a big thank you to the fans for their support over the years.”
