Out - Loic Remy

According to reports from The Daily Mail, Chelsea are reluctant to let Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United target Loic Remy leave on loan this month unless they can find a replacement first.

The France international has seen just 146 minutes’ worth of Premier League action this season, bagging a single goal in the process, and is desperate to secure regular playing time ahead of next summer’s European Championship on his home soil.

Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Swansea City have all been linked with loan bids for the 29-year-old in recent weeks, along with former employers Newcastle United. Remy netted 14 times in 26 Premier League outings during a year-long spell at St. James’ Park before moving to Stamford Bridge in summer 2014.

But according to The Daily Mail, the Premier League champions are reluctant to let the striker leave the club this month – either permanently or temporarily – unless they can source a replacement first.

That’s in no small part due to the situation surrounding loan flop Radamel Falcao. The Colombian international, who has found just one Premier League goal since signing from parent club Monaco during the summer, is currently in talks with MLS outfit Columbus Crew.
