According to reports from The Express, Manchester United are preparing a £29million bid for Arsenal target and Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez.
The Algerian international has set the Premier League alight this season, bagging 13 goals and seven assists amid the Foxes’ unexpected rise to the top of the table. He’s also averaged the most successful dribbles per match of any player in the division – an impressive 3.6.
Arsenal are known admirers of the 24-year-old winger, who moved to the King Power Stadium at the meagre cost of £400k in January 2014, and were first linked with him back in September.

But according to The Express – who cite French publication Le10Sport and document the Gunners’ interest once again – Manchester United are hoping to beat their Premier League title rivals to Mahrez’s signature with a £29million swoop during the January transfer window.
However, the former Le Harve man insisted last week that he has no intention of leaving the Midlands outfit midseason and agent Kamel Bengougam has since reiterated that claim, telling Sky Sports News; “I don’t think Leicester want to sell him and he is focused on doing well with them. I think he will stay in January.”
