According to reports from Sky Sports, Pep Guardiola will publicly reveal the much-anticipated decision over his future at Bayern Munich on Sunday or Monday.

The former Barcelona gaffer, who won two Champions League titles during his four years at the Nou Camp, has continually refused to give an answer on his future at the Allianz Arena despite his contract expiring at the end of the season. Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been linked with the 44-year-old in recent weeks.

Rumours of United’s interest have escalated since their Champions League elimination at the hands of Wolfsburg, whilst Guardiola has been mooted as Jose Mourinho’s eventual successor at Chelsea following the Portuguese’s sacking yesterday afternoon – although Guus Hiddink is set to take over on an interim basis until the end of the season.

Manchester City, meanwhile, have been courting the Spaniard for the last three years. Citizens sporting director Txiki Bergiristain and chief executive Ferran Soriano are both former colleagues of Guardiola’s from his Nou Camp days.

Sky Sports now claim that the in-demand manager has already informed Bayern Munich of whether he will sign a new deal or leave the German giants at the end of the season – and that his decision will be made public following their Bundesliga clash with Hannover tomorrow afternoon.

Guardiola said in today’s pre-match press conference: “The club, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and I have said time and time again that we will say something after our final game in Hannover, and that’s how things are going to stay. I’m just focusing on Hannover. I’ve been watching their games.”

Sky Sports expect the announcement to be made on either Sunday or Monday.
