According to reports from The Telegraph, Manchester City have launched a ‘tentative inquiry’ into the availability of Chelsea strike target and Leicester City star Jamie Vardy ahead of the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old has set the Premier League alight this season, bagging 15 goals and three assists in 17 appearances whilst setting a new record for scoring in eleven consecutive league fixtures – capping off an immaculate rise since plying his trade with Fleetwood Town just four years ago.

The Telegraph claims the former non-leaguer’s unrivalled scoring form has led title challengers Manchester City to launch a ‘tentative inquiry’. Wilfried Bony and youngster Kelechi Iheanacho have struggled to fill the void of first-choice centre-forward Sergio Aguero at times this season, which could force the Etihad outfit to move for another frontman during the January transfer window.
But the British newspaper insists Chelsea’s interest in the England international remains far more concrete.
