According to reports from The Sun, Crystal Palace could launch a swoop for Loic Remy during the January transfer window.
Blues loanee Patrick Bamford is set to terminate his Selhurst Park spell six months early after managing just six substitute outings in the Premier League, leaving the Eagles short of firepower with Connor Wickham, Yannick Bolasie and Dwight Gayle all sidelined through injury.

The Sun claim that could see Alan Pardew launch a bid for Loic Remy, who scored 14 times in 26 appearances under the Palace boss during a loan spell at Newcastle during the 2013/14 campaign.
The France international has seen just 146 minutes’ worth of action in the Premier League this season and will be desperate to secure greater playing time ahead of Euro 2016 on his home soil.
But the South Londoners aren’t the only club courting the out-of-favour striker. Swansea City reportedly tabled a £1million loan bid for Remy two weeks ago, whilst Aston Villa boss Remy Garde has recently confirmed his interest in signing the 28-year-old striker.
As quoted by BBC Sport, he said; “Loic is special because he knows the country and the league and he would be an interesting player for the team. He is part of some players I’ll try to attract to Aston Villa for sure.”
The rock-bottom Villains have scored the fewest goals of any Premier League side this season – just 15 from 19 games.
