2. Thomas Muller

According to reports from The Express, Chelsea and Manchester United target Thomas Muller has verbally agreed a contract extension at Bayern Munich.

The 26-year-old is one of the most talented and unique attacking threats throughout world football, famed for his versatility and consistent supply of goals. He’s scored 141 in 325 appearances for the Bavarians and ten times during the last two World Cups, firing Germany to the title in 2014.

Manchester United’s interest in the Mannschaft star is no great secret, having reportedly seen a £88million bid rejected during the summer, whilst Chelsea have also been mooted as potential suitors recently amid doubts Diego Costa’s future at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues rumours emerged amid news that Muller had been stalling on a contract extension at the Allianz Arena that would move his current terms to summer 2012.

But according to The Express, who cite German publication Kicker, the 6 foot 1 forward has now verbally agreed to a new deal, with the paperwork expected to follow in the coming weeks. That rules out any chance of Chelsea and Man United signing him in the foreseeable future.
