According to reports from The Daily Star, Manchester United will target former Liverpool star and current Barcelona striker Luis Suarez during the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils are desperate to pull off a major coup next summer with several of world football’s biggest names on their shortlist, according to The Daily Star – who cite French outlet BuzzSport.
But fearing that they will miss out on the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Paul Pogba, Neymar and Lionel Messi, the Old Trafford outfit are eyeing a deal for Suarez instead.

Of course, the Uruguay international is no stranger to the Premier League audience. He emerged as one of the top strikers in the world during his three-and-a-half-years at Liverpool, amassing 82 goals in 133 appearances and almost firing them to the Premier League title during the 2013/14 season.
The 28-year-old has continued to excel since moving to the Nou Camp after the 2014 World Cup, claiming the Champions League title during his debut season, but United are hopeful that the chance to return to the English top flight will entice Suarez into a shock Old Trafford move.
