According to reports from Mirror Football, five Premier League clubs are chasing Charlton Athletic prodigy Ademola Lookman.

The 18-year-old received his first-team debut last month and has registered just three Championship starts for the Addicks, but is already attracting interest from England’s biggest clubs.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur were first drawn to the forward by his impressive performances for Charlton’s academy teams, notching up 16 goals for the U18s and U21s this season before first featuring for the seniors during a 1-0 defeat to MK Dons in November.

Despite joining the South East London club’s youth system from Waterloo FC just last year, Lookman’s importance to the first team is increasing by the game – evident enough through his first senior goal against Brighton on Saturday.

Scouts from Chelsea, City and Spurs watched the prodigious teenager during the 3-2 defeat at Falmer Stadium whilst Arsenal scouts have been present during all five of his Championship outings.

Charlton are hoping to tie Lookman down to a new long-term contract, but that could prove difficult with all five clubs weighing up bids for the January window.
