According to reports from The Express on Saturday, Manchester United are preparing a £28million bid to sign Juventus prodigy Paulo Dyabla.
The 21 year-old only moved to Turin in June after bagging 13 goals and ten assists in 35 Serie A appearances during his final campaign with Palermo.
That blaze of form saw him mooted as a potential target of the Premier League’s top clubs during the summer transfer window, with Arsenal and Manchester United particularly keen, but he eventually joined the Old Lady in a £23million deal instead.
The 5 foot 9 striker has since notched up five goals in twelve appearances across all competitions and earned his first senior cap for Argentina.
But Palermo president Mauricio Zamparini, who continually talked up Dybala’s transfer during the summer, has accused Juve boss Massimo Allegri of ‘ruining’ the South American by using him in an unaccommodating system – something which The Express claim has revived United’s interest.
Citing Italian publication CalcioMercato, they allege Louis van Gaal’s side are preparing a £28million bid to sign Dybala – £5million more than what Juventus paid just a matter of months ago.
The Red Devils are certainly light on options in attack at the minute. Strikers Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial have scored just five Premier League goals between them this season.
