Antoine Griezmann

According to reports from talkSPORT yesterday evening, Real Madrid have revived their interest in Arsenal and Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann.

The France winger-forward has been tracked by the Premier League’s top clubs ever since his Real Sociedad days, where he played a talismanic role in the club’s spectacular rise from the Spanish second tier to the Champions League in the space of four seasons.

The 24 year-old moved to Atletico Madrid for a £24million fee in summer 2014 and has since emerged as one of La Liga’s most potent goal threats, netting 25 goals across all competitions last term and five times in five outings this season.

Griezmann was heavily linked with Chelsea and Manchester United during the summer and talkSPORT claim he’s still a target of the Red Devils’ – along with title rivals Arsenal.

But according to the radio station’s website, Real Madrid have now revived their interest in the 5 foot 9 forward in an effort to partner him with countryman Karim Benzema, following their strong form together for France. Griezmann’s Atletico contract is believed to include a £56.5million release clause.
