According to reports from The Daily Star on Saturday, Manchester United are monitoring Eden Hazard’s situation at Chelsea.
The 24 year-old’s talismanc displays last term earned him the PFA and FWA Player of the Year awards for 2015 whilst firing Chelsea to their fourth Premier League title, but he’s yet to rekindle that level of form this season and is still waiting upon his first league goal.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho dropped the Belgium international during a 2-0 win over Aston Villa two weeks ago, leading to reports of a potential move to Real Madrid – with the relationship between player and manager seemingly strained.
But The Daily Star, who claim Hazard is ‘disappointed and surprised’ at how Mourinho has dealt with him this season, suggest the world-class winger could end up a little closer to home. They claim that alongside Barcelona and Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United are also in the mix to prize Hazard away from west London, with the Red Devils ‘likely to monitor’ his situation.
The tabloid also allege that after signing a five-year contract earlier this year, bidding for Hazard will start around the £70million mark.
