According to reports from The Daily Star this afternoon, Chelsea already have a loan move lined up for Marko Grujic should they beat Manchester United to the Red Star Belgrade prodigy.

Measuring in at a whopping 6 foot 3, the 19 year-old has been compared to the Blues’ midfield monolith Nemanja Matic and featured prominently as Serbia won the U20 World Cup in New Zealand during the summer.

He was linked with a potential £3million move to both Chelsea and Manchester United this morning after Red Devils scouts watched him in action during Saturday’s Belgrade derby. Red Star beat rivals FK Rad Beograd 3-0 and Grujic opened the scoring with a 30-yard pile-driver.

According to The Star, who cite reports from Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Chelsea have already prepared a loan move for the midfield prodigy should they beat the Red Devils to his signature. His first season as an official Blues player will be spent on loan with Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.

This practice is nothing new in west London; Jose Mourinho’s side currently have 34 players farmed out to other clubs, all but two of which are aged 24 or younger.
